Books written by Patrick Barlow

Here I'm going to include links to all of Barlow's books that are available from Amazon.com. As you'll see, most of them are out-of-print and you can purchase them very inexpensively.

They are written in his alter-ego guise of Desmond Olivier Dingle, a man who thinks he knows everything but actually knows nothing about world history, Shakespeare, etc., so if you like that kind of thing, it's amusing. For myself, I think this material works in his radio and stage programs - indeed I enjoy them - ...not so much in book form - but that's just me.

1) All the World's A Globe (1990) (Mandarin)

2) Shakespeare: The Truth, or From Glover to Genius. Methuen, 1993. (Illustrated with drawings by Barlow, and amusing photos of Barlow as Dingle)

3) Love Upon A Throne (1999)

4) The Messiah (2001) (Nick Hern Books)

5) The Complete History of the Whole World (revised 2002) (Nick Hern)

6) The Wonder of Sex 2002 (Nick Hern Books)
